Sheraton Bangalore Hotel at Brigade Gateway to open in Quarter One of 2011

Will be a 230-room property and will offer amenities to suit the needs of both business and leisure travellers from multi-cuisine restaurants to spas.

Sheraton Hotels & Resorts, a part of Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. has announced its foray into the Indian market by setting up the first newly built and managed property in Bengaluru. According to the company release, Sheraton Bangalore Hotel at Brigade Gateway, once inaugurated in Quarter One of 2011, will be a 230-room property and will offer amenities to suit the needs of both business and leisure travellers from multi-cuisine restaurants to spas.

Martin Wuethrich, General Manager, Sheraton Bangalore Hotel at Brigade Gateway said, “We are excited to open our first newly built and managed Sheraton property in India. As a global brand, we are well equipped to understand and deliver what our patrons expect and our property will be the epitome of luxury for both corporate, as well as leisure travellers.”

Besides, the company has arranged for a mass recruitment programme in Bengaluru on November 3 and 4, 2010 and is looking at hiring over 350 employees. Once on board, these associates will be trained to be the brand ambassadors of Sheraton Bangalore Hotel at Brigade Gateway.
