Five alternative casino destinations to Vegas

London, Macau, Monte Carlo, Nassau & Singapore favourites after Las Vegas

By  Traveltechie Bureau | Mumbai

We’ve all seen the glitz and glamour of the city of sin, with its bright lights and baking hot temperatures attracting even the most unseasoned of gamblers to the strip. However, the heat of the Nevada Desert may be a little too much for some of today’s travelers, who may be looking for something a little different.

If you still want your gambling fix, you could try playing online on http://www.gamingclub.co.uk/online-slots or if you still want to get away, why not look at one of these alternative destinations?

London

England’s capital may be famous for many things, from red buses to Buckingham Palace, but it’s also home to some fantastic casinos. The Hippodrome Casino in London’s Leicester Square has just had a £250,000 revival with the help of digital artist Thomas D Gray, while the Empire Casino nearby offers an events room, a sports betting hall and poker lounges.

Macau

In China, gambling is illegal in all states apart from Macau, so you can trust that it certainly pushes the boat out when it comes to providing a gambling haven. Macau is such a gambler’s paradise, in fact, that it’s now estimated to be worth seven times more than the aforementioned Las Vegas, and with chains such as the Venetian and the MGM Grand also having casinos there, you can experience the perfect blend of Macau and Vegas culture.

Monaco

Monte Carlo

If all that gambling becomes too much for you, you can always take a break on any one of Monte Carlo’s beautiful beaches. Located in the principality of Monaco, Monte Carlo houses four luxurious casinos including the world renowned La Café de Paris, and is also home to the world famous Monaco Grand Prix, so you can truly gamble in style and indulge in a few other thrills while you’re there.

Nassau

The Caribbean may be a dream paradise of tranquility for some, but it’s also pretty hot on its gambling, particularly in the Bahamas’ Nassau. Head over to Paradise Island where you’ll find Atlantis, which offers 24 hours slot machines and poker tables. If you lose track of time, you can always come right back down to Earth by taking a stroll along one of the island’s white beaches.

Singapore

Legislation is strong in Singapore, but it still has its own gambling zone in Marina Bay and the Sands Casino Singapore. Its newest offering, however, is the Resorts World at Sentosa, which features the best in ultra modern casino games with bright lights and ringing bells. Singapore is also renowned for its fine cuisine too, so you can really treat yourself there.
