Royal Orchid Hotels Ltd has announced its entry into Hospet, near the 500-year-old world heritage site of Hampi. It will manage the newly-built 135-room project.
As per a report in The Hindu Business Line, The Royal Orchid Central Kireeti marks its presence in Tier-III cities and is located in the steel heartland of Bellary district, where some of the biggest steel corporations such as Posco and ArcellorMittal plan to put up projects.
“Kireeti is the first branded hotel servicing the UNESCO world heritage site of Hampi. Royal Orchid Central is ideally positioned to cater to both leisure and business travellers,” the company said.
Mr Chender Baljee, ROHL's Founder, Chairman and Managing Director, said, “Hospet is poised to rapidly expand as a famous business and tourist destination in Karnataka."
The district of Bellary is very rich in mineral resources, including metallic and non- metallic minerals. The region has huge deposits of iron ore and manganese in the Sandur Hill ranges and its surroundings. The region has thus large iron and steel companies. It is home to many steel companies such as JSW Steel, Kalyani Steels, Kirloskar Ferrous Industries, BMM Ispat, Bellary Steel & Alloys and Karnataka Strips and scveral global companies such as POSCO, Arcelor Mittal and others who are establishing their steel plants in Bellary
According to Mr Keshav Baljee, President and Co-Promoter of ROHL, Royal Orchid Central, is their largest brand with business-cum-leisure hotels in Bangalore, Pune, Jaipur, Navi Mumbai and Ahmedabad.
