German airline Deutsche Lufthansa AG has named the Group's Deputy Chairman, Christoph Franz, as the successor to Chairman and CEO, Wolfgang Mayrhuber. The change at the helm of the Group shall take place with effect from January 1, 2011. As the future Chairman and CEO, Christoph Franz shall be responsible for the Lufthansa Group and its five business segments: the Passenger Airline Group, Logistics, MRO, IT Services and Catering.
