The Croatian National Tourist Board & Slovenian Tourist Board have concluded their historic maiden visit to India beginning with Mumbai and thereafter traveling to Delhi in order to enhance the number of outbound Indian travelers to their respective countries. The Croatian & Slovenian delegations were led by their respective Director Generals according India a high priority tourism source market status. The delegation from Croatia was led by Mr. Niko Bulic, Director General, Croatia National Tourist Board and was accompanied by Ms. Maja Pak, Acting Director from the Slovenia Tourist Board. Mr. Marjan Hribar, Director General - Directorate of Tourism, Ministry of Economy, Slovenia also accompanied the high profile delegation. Present at both cities of Mumbai and New Delhi, were the Ambassadors of Croatia and Slovenia demonstrating the high level of importance placed by these countries in targeting the discerning Indian traveler. The two-city workshop targeted over 400 participants comprising heads of major travel agencies and tour operators with the aim of updating them with the twin destination tourism product offerings. The workshops also included a networking session which will set the platform for a series of packages to be floated in the coming holiday season. During the workshops, Croatian and Slovenian Tourist board representatives focused on presenting their country for heritage, culture, adventure, gastronomic delights and scenic beauty. The presentations also focused on positioning Croatia and Slovenia as a year round destination for honeymooners and weddings during the winter season and families for the summer season. Indian travel fraternity members attending the events in Mumbai & Delhi were treated to musical extravaganza by renouned celloist, Ms. Anna Rucner, a young and successful musician in Croatia, who has been playing the cello since the age of seven. In 2005 she graduated from the Zagreb Music Academy and today enjoys the status of a so called free artist, a great acknowledgement for a musician. From Slovenia, to enthrall the guests were a delightful group of folk musicians playing Slovene and English folk tunes from the country side.
