Karnataka Minister for Tourism Anand Singh has said that the government is planning to develop coastal tourism and a proposal of Rs 50 crore has been sent to the Centre. The state and the centre will make an attempt to improve infrastructure facilities at tourist spots.
He said that Rs 15 crore has been earmarked for the development of Malpe St Mary’s island. Toilets, streetlights and road will be laid at ‘snanaghatta’ (bathing ghat) at Kumaradhara in Subrahmanya, at a cost of Rs 1.5 crore. |
