Jet Airways has sought the Indian government's permission to dilute up to a 20 per cent stake. “Once approval is granted, I will dilute some stake, it could be anything up to 20 per cent,” said Naresh Goyal, Chairman, Jet Airways. Goyal, however, did not specify any timeframe. An official from the airline said, “We have already applied to the Foreign Investment Promotion Board (FIPB).”

The company has not sought any restructuring of any debt from the Reserve Bank of India, but has only approached it to re-look at some of the External Commercial Borrowing (ECB) guidelines for raising funds.
“We have not asked for any restructuring of loans from the RBI. But we have discussed with the RBI if it could look at some of the ECB guidelines,” mentioned Goyal.
