The food festival at Hotel Lalit Grand Palace Srinagar concluded on July 21 with guests expressing delight at the quality and variety of cuisines. The participants at the food festival were from different parts of the world. The event by Hotel Lalit Grand Palace, was aimed to promote the hospitality sector in the Valley.
“The food festival was the idea of Chief Managing Director, Lalit Group, Jyotsna Suri to promote the ‘good food culture’ in Valley,” an executive of the hotel said. He said that more than 27 cuisines were prepared and presented to the guests at the hotel. Narayan, Head Chef of Hotel Lalit said: “We have bought chefs from outside state, who are preparing special cuisines for our guests.”
He said the food festival was a good experience for the hotel chefs here “who got a chance to learn from them (chefs brought from outside) and they also got a chance to learn for us.” “The response to the festival was appreciative and guests liked the idea of organizing a food festival. Moreover it gives local people chance to learn new art of food making from different chefs from outside,” he said. |
