The Hyderabad fair recorded an enthusiastic turnout and the number of visitors was around 8,000. This included over 700 trade visitors, up significantly from around 500 last year. First day of the show was reserved for travel trade to provide focused networking opportunity.
Among the stalls which attracted attention were: Andhra Pradesh Tourism, welcoming visitors through the Warrangal Gate; the Gujarat Pavilion, vibrating with the Garba dance performances; the artistic Karnataka Pavilion; Punjab Tourism’s colorful displays; the simple but elegant displays by the exhibitors from Japan, China, Nepal, Sikkim, Jammu and Kashmir etc.
TTF Hyderabad had over 125 exhibitors from 18 Indian states/UTs and 4 countries. Shri Jayesh Ranjan gave away the TTF Hyderabad Awards.
Kolkata TTF recorded an all-time record turnout. This included over 1900 trade visitors, up significantly from around 1300 last year. Till the end of the second day, more than 25,000 people had visited TTF, and by the end of the event, this figure is expected to cross 30,000. Inaugurated by West Bengal Tourism Minister, Shri Manabendra Mukherjee in the presence of Uttarakhand Tourism Minister, Shri Madan Kaushik. Senior tourism officials from various states, and travel industry members visited the event over the three days.
Shri Sultan Ahmed, Minister of State for Tourism, Government of India presided over the Valedictory and Awards function at the historic Town Hall in the presence of the Mayor of Kolkata, Shri Sovan Chatterjee, and Shri Sanjiv Agarwal, Chairman and CEO of Fairfest Media Limited, the organizers of TTF.
Awards were given away to participants of TTF in various categories including Design and Decoration, Most Promising New Destination, Most Innovative Product, Best Value Product, Best Print Promotional Material etc.
From Kolkata, TTF now moves to Ahmedabad (20th August – 22nd August) followed by Surat (27th August – 29th August).
In the first quarter of 2011, TTF travels to Chennai and Bangalore (January 2011), and Mumbai and New Delhi (February 2011)
