Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav today promised to develop the city's tourism potential if the party came to power in the state. "Mathura would be declared as tourist centre since pilgrims and international tourists are coming to this place in large numbers," Yadav said at a public meeting.

"Not only infrastructure would be improved, but round the clock power supply would also be ensured. Money would not be the constraint for ensuring Yamuna free from pollution," he said.
