Fiji offers 47% tax rebate for Bollywood film shoots

Fiji Tourism is currently conducting roadshows in four cities – New Delhi, Kolkata, Bengaluru and Mumbai

In order to promote tourism in Fiji, the Fiji government has decided to offer 47 per cent tax rebate to film productions happening in the country. “We are planning to meet some of the producers in Bollywood shortly during this trip to promote film tourism in Fiji,” Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum, Attorney-General and Minister for Tourism, Justice, Anti-Corruption, Public Enterprises, Communications, Civil Aviation, Industry and Trade, Fiji said.

Sayed-Khaiyum was in Delhi to attend the roadshow organised by Fiji Tourism. Fiji Tourism is currently conducting roadshows in four cities – New Delhi, Kolkata, Bengaluru and Mumbai. According to Fiji tourism director – global destinations – India representative Pranav Kapadia, the main focus of the roadshow is to educate the Indian travel trade about Fiji’s offerings and to highlight the diverse tourism products and destinations in Fiji.
