The Tamil Nadu tourism has come up with a unique adventure sports for the tourists at the TTDC Beach Resort Complex at Mamallapuram. This is surely an eye opener and adventurous experience on both the land and sea.

The TTDC has established an adventure tourism complex here offering water sports like windsurfing and land sailing.

The complex aims to lure the tourists who are crazy about adventure sports, the first of its kind in TN. A trainer has been appointed to assist those interested in windsurfing. The trainer will help those who are windsurfing for the first time. However, it is mandatory that they should know swimming.

Land sailing involves moving over sand and land using a board carrying a sail for propulsion by the wind. In other words, it is a sport of sailing on land in modified boats.

"It will be an entirely different experience for the foreign and domestic tourists visiting the beach resort, as it gives unlimited excitement." Both windsurfing and land sailing cost Rs 100 per hour. Apart from these activities, archery, balloon shooting, target shooting and netball cricket are also available to entertain the masses.
