The Department of Tourism (DoT), Union Territory (UT) of Dadra and Nagar Haveli is planning to float five houseboats in Daman Ganga River near Dudhani village of Nagar Haveli.

The Department of Tourism (DoT), Union Territory (UT) of Dadra and Nagar Haveli is planning to float five houseboats in Daman Ganga river near Dudhani village of Nagar Haveli. Dudhani is a tourist place with bars and restaurants, facilities for water sport activities, shikara rides in Daman Ganga river etc.

A D Nikam, Director of Tourism, Union Territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli said "If tourists opt for a planned package, they will be given a traditional welcome by the local tribal groups, served special meals and given traditional massage with natural oil".

Presently, the state tourism department has ordered one 150 ft long houseboat which will have two luxury bedrooms for two couples, a seating room with deck, a pantry and a mini bar. Peter Macwan, Assistant Director of Tourism, Union Territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli said that in all probability, the houseboat concept could be officially launched on September 25, 2010.
