Condor Airlines to offer direct connectivity between Kerala and Europe from November 5, 2010

Condor Airlines, one of the popular German airlines, will offer direct connectivity between Kerala and Europe

The tourism prospects of Kerala is bound to increase manifold with the introduction of direct air connectivity from Kochi to Frankfurt. Condor Airlines, a popular German airlines, will start direct connectivity between Kerala and Europe from November 5, 2010. The direct flights from Frankfurt to Kochi via Bahrain from November 5, 2010 will be offering only �seasonal flights' every Thursday in the initial stages. Boeing 757-300 aircraft will be used to fly in this sector.

The direct flights are expected to infuse a fresh dose of vitality to the tourism industry that is reeling under economic recession. It would also offer respite to expatriate Malayalees to fly home from the UK and Scandinavian countries as there are no chartered flights in this sector at present.

The Director of Nedumbassery International Airport, Mr. ACK Nair said that the direct connectivity between Kerala and Europe was a long-pending demand of the travel and tourism industry."
