Accor Group-owned Sofitel Luxury Hotels brand will open its first property in Mumbai at Bandra Kurla Complex in Mumbai on December 26, 2011.
The property is being developed in partnership with the city-based Shree Naman Group where Accor has invested US$ 16 million for a 40 per cent stake in 2006. However, the cost of the project is over Rs 400 crore.
Initially, Sofitel will open with 144 rooms, with interiors blended with French designs and Indian motifs and patterns. All 302 rooms including 31 suites will commence from February 2012. Sofitel is planning to offer room rates in the range of Rs 11,000-12,000 per night. |
