Madhya Pradesh to organise a Week-long adventure camp to boost tourism

The seven-day camp from from December 22 to 28 will have 14 different kinds of adventure sports wherein anyone in the age group of 10 to 60 years can participate

In a move to project Madhya Pradesh as a favourite tourist destination, the state government is going to organise an adventure sports camp at Choral in Indore from December 22 to 28. The seven-day camp will have 14 different kinds of adventure sports wherein anyone in the age group of 10 to 60 years can participate. It will have adventure sports like hot air balloon, paragliding, ringo ride, water surfing, parasailing, banana ride, jwarwing ball, rock climbing, archery, commando net, wall climbing, rapping river crossing so on.

Collector Raghvendra Singh said they are organising the camp on the directive of state government and preparations are in full swing. "We have recently conducted a review meeting of the officials concern and asked them to complete the preparation on time," Singh said adding that they will ensure that no participant faces any problem. Administration is also arranging bus service from Indore to the camp site. Chief executive officer of zila panchayat Gopal Dad said that anyone can participate in the camp after getting their registration done at the sub-divisional office in Mhow and zila panchayat office.

He further said that three kinds of packages are prepared; A seven-day and six-night package will cost Rs 4,000; three days and two nights package will cost Rs 3,000; and two days and one night package will cost Rs 2,000 per person. There will be lodging and food arrangements for the participants. Beside these, there will be food stall for the participants and visitors. Last year, around 1,500 people had participated in the camp and this time government is expecting even bigger participation, not only from state but for other parts of the country too.
