Nepal is set to revive its relations with Indian film industry after a long gap of a quarter century to boost its ailing tourism industry.

Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) in association with Thought Waves Media Pvt Ltd, Mumbai is organising a grand Bollywood Night at Dasharath Stadium of Kathmandu in April next year that would bring around two dozen actors and actresses from the Bollywood.

This was revealed at an interaction programme on "Bollywood Film and Nepal's Tourism" hosted by NTB.

The Bollywood Night that is expected to attract 40,000 people is aimed at promoting Nepal as a beautiful destination for Bollywood film shooting, saidVielas Salunkke, Managing Director of Thought Waves.

The programme will benefit both Nepalese tourism industry as well as Bollywood as Nepal is the number one market for Hindi films outside India, said Chhatra Bhatta, coordinator of the event.

Acting chief of NTB, Subhas Niraula, recalled legendary actor Dev Anand - who introduced Nepal to the world of Bollywood by shooting two of his hit films 'Hare Ram Hare Krishna; and 'Isq,Isq,Isq' in Nepal.
