Kingfisher Airlines, India's most awarded airline, has announced that it has launched three new international routes from key south Indian cities to Colombo over the last weekend. Kingfisher Airlines is the only Indian carrier to offer flights from the three cities of Kochi, Thiruvananthapuram and Tiruchirapalli to the Sri Lankan capital.
Commenting on the launch of these 3 new international routes, Mr. Manoj Chacko, Executive Vice President, Commercial, Kingfisher Airlines Limited said, “I am delighted to announce the launch of 3 new international routes out of South India to Sri Lanka. The addition of these new routes further strengthens our route network and we now offer enhanced connectivity especially into and out of South India.” Guests flying with Kingfisher Airlines from Tiruchirapalli can now enjoy the benefit of an early arrival into Colombo seven-days a week. Besides this, the convenient timing of this flight also provides excellent connectivity options to guests flying to destinations beyond Colombo with adequate transit time starting from 100 minutes onwards. Guests travelling from Bangalore also have convenient connectivity options to Colombo via Kochi or Thiruvananthapuram on the Kochi-Colombo and Thiruvananthapuram-Colombo routes respectively.
