Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation Limited (HPTDC) has offered Special Karva Chauth package in its hotels from October 14 to 17 providing for totally "free stay" on the third day. The package involves totally free stay for 3rd day.

The discount will be equal to one day's rent plus luxury tax only if the guest has stayed for 2 days by paying regular rent plus tax and the Corporation will bear the burden of rent as well as luxury tax for the third day. During the festival, this has been declared a gazetted holiday for women employees, the 'Sargi' (festive offering) would be arranged free of cost to the guests availing the package in HPTDC hotels.

Besides, special dinner would be prepared for women observing fast which would be complimentary on the festival day. This package is in addition to already offered 8 (eight) attractive combi-packages for 'Har Gaon Ki Kahani' destinations in various parts of Himachal Pradesh.
