Aiming to woo domestic tourists, the Rajasthan Tourism department has been organising three-day road shows titled 'Rajasthan Calling' - in 20 cities all over the country.
The first such road show began in Lucknow on Friday and number of visitors, media personnel and travel agents have already visited the stall and started enquiries. More such shows will be held in Gwalior, Amritsar, Bhopal, Ludhiana, Indore, Chandigarh, Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Rajkot, Jalgaon, Vadodara, Trivendrum, Bharuch, Kochi , Surat, Madurai, Gandhi Nagar and Coimbatore, Principal Secretary (tourism) Usha Sharma said. The threeday event will be held twice in Mumbai, she said.
Officers stationed at the road show hard sell Rajasthan by way of promoting various circuits, packages, city tours, RTDC hotels and Palace On Wheels (POW) as well as Royal Rajasthan on Wheels (RROW). |
