Salman Khan movie to boost Ireland Tourism

In the film ‘Ek Tha Tiger,’ Dublin will be highlighted as a modern and lively city, which is also rich in culture and heritage

With the Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif starrer ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ being shot in Ireland, Irish authorities are hoping that the Bollywood flick will provide a major impetus to the tourism industry in the country. The forthcoming flick, starring two of the biggest stars of Bollywood, is being shot in Dublin since early September.

Irish tourism officials hoping to cash in on the publicity generated by ‘Ek Tha Tiger’. The tourism officials in Ireland expect that the Bollywood production will provide a major boost to the Irish tourism industry, as this is the very first time that such a large scale Bollywood flick is being shot in the country.

Considering the fact that the movie will be released in as many as 24 countries across the globe, Irish authorities hope to reach out to the maximum number of audiences in a bid to draw holiday-makers to the country.

While speaking to reporters, Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport Leo Varadkar said, “It’s a genuine pleasure to see a major Bollywood film being shot in Ireland, but it’s also great news from a tourism point of view. This film will be watched by millions of people in India and around the world, providing a global platform for Ireland as a visitor destination. The Indian film industry is the largest in the world after Hollywood but this is the first film of its type to be made in Ireland.”

Sources reveal that in ‘Ek Tha Tiger,’ Dublin will be highlighted as a modern and lively city, which is also rich in culture and heritage. The movie is being shot in all major locations across the city.
