Himachal Pradesh tourism sector attracts Canada

HP and Canada share similar geophysical conditions and can learn a lot from each other

Canada has expressed interest in investing in food processing, forest produce, tourism and hydropower generation sectors in the hill state. Canadian high commissioner Stewart Beck told chief minister Prem Kumar Dhumal that HP and Canada share similar geophysical conditions and can learn a lot from each other.

He said Canada would be keen to participate in various tourism related activities. He added that possibilities could be explored for processing of fruit produce for international marketing.
