BJP has warned Uttar Pradesh government against handing over properties of state Tourism Corporation to private parties in the name of tiding over its losses as per a PTI report.

"After selling off the sugar mills and pocketing crores of rupees, Mayawati government is conspiring to sell off 69 hotels of the Tourism Corporation ", BJP spokesman Rajendra Tewari alleged."Instead of improving the administrative structure of the Corporation to tide over the losses, the government is out to hand over its hotels to private players posing hardships for employees working there", he said

Adding "the government might be claiming to be the well wishers of the poor but they are in fact benefitting capitalists and industrialists". In the past four years of the government, not a single industry has been set up in the state which could have created job opportunities and led to development, he charged. Tewari said if the government goes ahead with its plan of handing these hotels to private parties, BJP would approach the Election Commission and if returned to power in assembly next year, send all the ministers and officials responsible for the same to jail by conducting an inquiry.
