China's largest premier carrier will touch down at Kolkata airport, linking the city to Shenzen in souhern China province of Guangdong. This is the second carrier to connect Kolkata with a Chinese city, the first one being China Eastern that launched flights in 2008.
A Hainan Airlines official said the airline would launch a twice-weekly service between Kolkata and Shenzen, a 45-minute drive from Hong Kong, on September 27. The inaugural flight will touch down at 4.45pm and take off at 6pm. The twice-a-week service may be enhanced to thrice weekly from the winter schedule that commences on November 1. |
