In response to increasing seasonal demand for low-cost services to Goa, Air Arabia, the first and largest low-cost carrier (LCC) in the Middle East and North Africa, announced today that it will now offer five weekly flights between the carrier's hub in Sharjah, UAE, and Goa, India.

The two additional flights will greatly enhance the level of convenience for travellers from the UAE to one of India's most popular holiday destinations. Air Arabia is currently the only LCC in the region to offer direct flights to Goa.

"The costal state of Goa continues to attract more and more visitors from the UAE," said AK Nizar, Head of Commercial Department, Air Arabia. "Air Arabia has decided to increase the frequency of service due to the increased seasonal demand on this popular route, enabling customers to take advantage of great fares and convenient flight timings to plan their ideal itinerary."

The two additional flights will operate on Mondays and Fridays every week starting June 1, 2010, until October 30, 2010, between Dabolim International Airport in Goa and Air Arabia's hub in Sharjah. In order to offer more convenient itinerary options, the flights will depart from Sharjah at 22:25 PM and arrive in Goa at 03:05 AM the following day. The return flights will depart from Goa on Tuesday and Saturday at 03:45 AM and arrive in Sharjah at 05:25 AM the same day.

Air Arabia currently offers flights to Goa on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays departing Sharjah at 22:00 PM and arriving in Goa at 03:00 AM. The return flights depart Goa on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays at 03:45 AM and arrive in Sharjah at 05:25 AM.
