Bird Hospitality eyes up to Rs 400 crores revenue in next 5 yrs

Dusit Bird Hotels will open its first hotel, Dusit Devarana, in New Delhi by the end of this year

The hospitality arm of Bird Group, Bird Hospitality Services (BHS), which recently acquired the Royal Park Hotel in London, is eyeing up to Rs 400 crore revenue in the next five years from its proposed five properties.

"We are developing five luxury hotels in the country in a joint venture with Dusit Thani Group of Thailand. On completion we will have over 1,000 rooms and we are targeting Rs 350-400 crore revenue in next five years from these proposed properties," Bird Group Executive Director Ankur Bhatia said.

Dusit Bird Hotels will open its first hotel, Dusit Devarana, in New Delhi by the end of this year, he said, adding that others will come up in Rishikesh, Jaipur and Goa. "After opening the Dusit Devarana, we are targeting to open one property every year. We have committed USD 450 million for developing these five luxury hotels."

Besides these five properties, Dusit Bird Hotels has also entered into managing third-party properties, Bhatia said adding that company has already signed a deal to manage a hotel in Goa. This property in Goa will be operational in the next three years. "We are also in talks with a few more potential companies for such ventures," he added.
