India's first Domestic Tourism Conclave to be organised on 10th August in New Delhi

The conclave shall endeavour to interact with the policy makers and stakeholders in Domestic tourism and chalk out a viable strategy to further the flow of domestic tourists within India

After the grand success of The Great Indian Travel Bazaar, The Ministry of Tourism, Government of India and Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) with the Support of Association of Domestic Tour Operators of India (ADTOI) will organize the first ever Domestic Tourism Conclave on August 10, 2011 at The Lalit, New Delhi.

The conclave shall endeavour to interact with the policy makers and stakeholders in Domestic tourism and chalk out a viable strategy to further the flow of domestic tourists within India.

Speaking exclusive to Traveltechie.com, Mr. Subhash Verma – President of ADTOI said, “ With over 500 Million Tourists, the Domestic Tourism Market cannot be ignored. The Industry needs to be more organised & structured.”

“The conclave will take the Domestic Tourism Industry to new heights, increase its awareness & bring it to the forefront amongst all its stake holders. ADTOI is putting its full efforts in making the event a grand success”, he added

The USP of the conclave is the brainstorming at three plenary sessions; Plenary Session I: State Governments - driving Domestic Tourism mix, Plenary Session II: Panel Discussion on Technology - catalyzing Domestic Tourism and Plenary Session III: Panel Discussion on Connectivity – focus on Indian Railways.

This is followed by a focused three hour B2B meetings between buyers and sellers of domestic tourism products.

Shri Subodh Kant Sahai, Hon’ble Tourism Minister, Government of India has been requested to kindly deliver the inaugural address. A FICCI – Yes Bank Study on ‘Furthering Domestic Tourism’ will also be released at the conclave. 

The participation profile includes Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, State Governments, Ministry of Railways, Government of India, Hotels, spas and resorts  catering to Domestic Tourism, Tour Operators and Travel Agents who are major promoters of Domestic Tourism, Domestic Airlines and Surface transporters catering to Domestic Tourism.
