With the aim to open their Creole tropical islands to the Indian market, the Seychelles Tourism Board is conducting a series of meetings with tour operators and airlines in India . According to a report in eturbonews.com, Alain St. Ange, Director Marketing, Seychelles Tourism Board and Myrna Michel, Director, Asia and Australasia, Seychelles Tourism Board will join Dick Esparon, Seychelles High Commissioner in India for the meetings with the Indian travel fraternity. According to St. Ange India remains an important potential market, one that can be tackled in earnest when direct and regular air links are in place. "We are going to India to pursue discussions with air carriers and we are going there with the backing of a serious business group ready to guarantee seats in an airline for doing weekly runs to Seychelles," stated St. Ange before leaving for India.
The Seychelles delegation's programme has been coordinated by the Seychelles High Commissioner in India and by Michel from the Seychelles Tourism Board's office in Singapore, which has the responsibility for developing the Indian market for Seychelles. |
