At a recent event held in Mumbai, the Honorary Consul General of the Philippines in Mumbai, R Swaminathan informed that the country would start issuing tourist visas from Mumbai from mid-January 2011. He said that he will be visiting the Philippines next week to hold discussions with the authorities in Philippines and was confident that after his return, tourist visas to the Philippines will be issued from Mumbai as well.
