The Tourism Business Council of South Africa (TBCSA) and UK-based Bench Events, who joined forces recently to extend the reach of the Hotel Investment Conference Africa (HICA) brand across the continent, will in 2011 host two conferences focusing on differing regions of Africa.
TBCSA are the originators of the HICA concept and Bench Events are well known for hosting premier conferences on hotel investment in Europe and the Middle East.
Chief Executive Officer of the TBCSA Mmatšatši Marobe says “Africa is a large and diverse continent of over 50 countries with many markets either emerging or evolving rapidly in central and northern regions, coupled with substantial and more mature markets in the southern areas.
“To reflect this and from continued demand, HICA – A focus on Southern Africa, will take place from 5 to 6 May, immediately before INDABA, Africa’s largest tourism trade fair in Durban, and HICA – A focus on North and Central Africa, will take place in Casablanca from 26 to 27 September.”
Grant Collier, Marketing Director of Bench Events says “There are many unique opportunities that both conferences wish to address. The southern event will focus on taking stock after the influx of visitors from the FIFA World Cup and will include a detailed look at the future investment climate in the south using actual case studies.
