With more than 125 million reviews and operating in 34 countries, TripAdvisor claims to be the world's largest travel site. As well as having its own stand at the event (B61), its experts will be taking part in the extensive programme of seminars, conferences and talks.
The Trump Hotel Collection chain (E202) will be exhibiting at WTM Latin America to showcase its nine luxury hotels in the US, Canada and Panama.
Other exhibitors taking part include the tourism promotion agencies of Germany and the US – Visit Germany (D10) and Discover America (E10) – and inbound tour operator, Brasil Total (Q07).
“The strong interest from destinations and private sector, in which some of them have already guaranteed their space in the event, proves the high expectation for the 2014 edition of WTM Latin America,” said Lawrence Reinisch, director of WTM Latin America. “This reaction is because the previous edition impressed not only the visitors for the beauty and variety of products in the event, but also exhibitors that complemented the focus in business and professionalism of the participants.”
WTM Latin America 2014 takes place in São Paulo on 23-25 April, in a landmark year for Brazil’s travel trade, thanks to the FIFA World Cup.
Exhibitors at WTM Latin America will be divided into five sectors: Brazil, Latin America, World, Global Village (which brings together multinational brands), and the 41st Braztoa (Brazilian Association of Tour Operators) Business Meeting.
Hosted by the Transamerica Expo Center, the show will again cater for both outbound and inbound tourism, plus the leisure and corporate markets.
Its International Hosted Buyers programme will bring together 150 professionals from the leisure, corporate and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Congresses and Exhibitions) sectors, offering them new business opportunities, pre-arranged meetings and networking events.
WTM Latin America had more than 1200 exhibitors from 44 countries in 2013.
The event taking place in 2014 will be even bigger, and occupy more floor space at the Transamerica Expo Centre.
