More than 21 million foreign tourists visited Thailand from January to October this year, Thai News Agency (TNA) reported.
Deputy government spokesman Chalitrat Chantarubeksa said the 21.73 million tourist arrivals in the first ten months indicated a 22.30 percent year-on-year increase.
A report tabled before this week's Cabinet meeting showed the majority of overseas visitors during this period came from China, Malaysia, Russia, Japan, Laos, India, Australia and the United Kingdom.
Thailand's tourism revenue is expected to reach hundreds of billions of baht by the end of the year despite impacts from the ongoing anti-government demonstrations and China's new tourism law.
