Thailand received 10.16 lakh Indian tourists in 2012

As a part of the strategy for 2013, the Authority will promote newer regions including Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai and Khao Yai along with attractions from South such as Trang, Surat Thani and Koh Samui

Thailand received 9.16 lakh Indian tourists in 2011 and 10.16 lakh Indian tourists in 2012. The Tourism Authority  of Thailand forecasts 13 lakh Indian tourists during 2013.

TAT conducted a road show in Mangalore on Friday where Sethaphan Buddhani, Director of Tourism Authority of Thailand, Mumbai, said, "As a part of the strategy for 2013, the Authority will promote newer regions such as Northern Thailand, including Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai and Khao Yai along with attractions from South such as Trang, Surat Thani and Koh Samui."
