Building on its initiatives in 2012, the Taiwan Tourism Bureau Representative office in India, today, announced the success of its activities and plans through the year at a special press conference held at Hotel Trident, Nariman Point Mumbai.
Mrs.Francis Lee (Deputy Representative of Taipei economic cultural centre) was also present at the occasion. Being her first visit to India she appreciated the warmth that she received from Mumbai and acknowleged that 2012 will definitely be a successful year for Taiwan Tourism .
In the coming months, TTB will plan a number of educational seminars for the travel trade and other corporate entities to further disseminate the knowledge to the consumers in India. Taiwan also has the potential for becoming an important and exciting MICE destination for the Indian traveller. TTB is currently working on anumber of MICE Incentive Plans with increased benefits which will facilitate MICE movement to Taiwan. These include: Exclusive FAM trips for MICE publication and MICE organizers, Corporate FAM trips, Exclusive Itinerary for MICE FAM trips.
Mrs Francis lee talked about the growing outbound travel from India due to its rich cultural and educational values emphasizing particularly on its essence of western civilization.She told that Taiwan is where East meets West being Japan and Phillipines its neighbouring countries. She also emphasized on the adventure activities of Taiwan having the tallest JP mountain that stands 4000 m tall…and having great adventure explorations like bike ride,trekking etc.She also talked about its pleasant climatic conditions and delicious Chinese cuisines including authentic Indian food and Jain food,and being language not a linguistic barrier for the tourist.
Noel saxena Country Head Taiwan Tourism Bureau representive officer from India also gave a brief insight of Taiwan.He emphasized on ‘visa free entry’ for tourist from india who can now fill the visa application form online. In an exclusive chat with traveltechie he also told told Taiwan as one of the best budget travel destination.When asked about their marketing strategies this year in India Noel informed that “they are planning number of educational seminars for the travel trade and other bussiness units including roadshows and number of mice Incentive plans”.
