TAT sponsors Golftripz's all India amateur golf tournament – Team – Am Golf Challenge 2011

As part of the marketing strategy to promote Thailand as an ideal destination for golf; the Mumbai and New Delhi office of Tourism Authority of Thailand were sponsors for Golftripz’s all India amateur golf tournament – Team – Am Golf Challenge 2011. 

The tournament was recently held in Hua Hin, Thailand from the 28th to the 30th of September, 2011. Banyan Golf Club, Springfield Golf Resort and Black Mountain Golf Club were the setting for this unique promotional event. 

Mr Suraphon Svetasreni, Governor of Tourism Authority of Thailand graced the event by giving away the prize to the winner. 

Mr.Suraphon welcomed the 92 golfers from India and commented on the increasing awareness of golf in India. Furthermore, he highlighted that Thailand boasts some of the world’s top golf courses with state of the art facilities in addition to a picturesque setting. The governor also announced that Thailand would once again be the host for the Team – Am Golf Challenge in 2012 in Chiang Mai. 

The Tourism Authority of Thailand has been actively promoting Hua Hin, Chiang Mai, Phuket and Pattaya as golf hubs of Thailand that cater to the international golfing community.
