TAAI MC visit Glasgow to explore holding its Annual Convention 2015-16 in Scotland

VisitScotland invited TAAI Managing Committee to explore the tourism potential of Scotland / destination knowledge, to take home  a wealth of ideas and useful business contacts for Scotland travel products and more prominently,  get first hand knowledge of hotel properties around Scotland through detailed recces, for consideration of  holding the TAAI Annual  Convention  2015 /2016 in breathtaking Scotland.

The delegation from TAAI  led by  Mr  Harmandeep Singh Anand, our Hon Secretary General, included Mr. Kirti Kumar Vyas,  MC, Mr. Mukesh  Patel,  MC ,Mr. Devesh Kumar Agarwal,  Chairman – Eastern Region, Mr. Anil Kumar, Chairman – Karnataka Chapter, Mr. Shreeram Patel, Chairman – Gujarat Chapter, Mr. G Krishna, Chairman- Pune Chapter, Mr. M S Paramasivam,  Chairman-South  Tamilnadu Chapter, Mr. Harraj Singh Sidhu, Chairman- Chandigarh  Chapter & Mr. George Kutty,  (co opted MC). 

The delegation visited  the VisitScotland Tourism Expo on 2nd April 2014  where they met with various local tourism suppliers.  It was a honor for  TAAI when  the  Hon’ble Minister of Energy, Enterprise and Tourism,  Mr Fergus Ewing MSP,  attended the highly interactive morning  meeting  along with Chairman  Mr Mike Cantlay, Business Tourism Unit and  Head of Business Tourism (BTU) Mr Neil Brownlee.

The HSG was accompanied for this meet by Mr. Kirti Kumar Vyas,  Mr. Mukesh  Patel,  Mr. Shreeram Patel and Mr G Krishna. The possibility of hosting the TAAI Convention  in Scotland in 2015 /16  was the core of  discussion. The talks  concluded  on a very  positive note. 3rd to 7th April saw  meetings  with  officials of the  Business Tourism Unit of Scotland  and recce on the possibilities of  hosting the TAAI  Convention in 2015/16. The BTU  took the delegation to various wonderful  hotel  properties in and  around Glasgow & Edinburgh for a first hand look.
