Soon, Spicejet passengers flying with family and friends will be able to book the adjacent seat on the flight by paying an extra charge.
Under the empty seat option (ESO), a flier can get an adjacent empty seat at a nominal price, Optiontown founder and CEO Sachin Goel told reporters in Delhi.
US-based IT firm Optiontown has tied up with the low cost carrier to provide post-sale services of choosing an empty seat, to make bookings on multiple flights or in a preferred flight and even get rewarded for having a flexible flying plan.
Customers can use these facilities, which are clubbed under the product brand 'Fexlifly' after buying a ticket of SpiceJet flight either at the airline's or Optiontown's website.
