IndiGo will fly Kuala Lumpur to Delhi and Bengaluru from November 15. SpiceJet will fly Delhi to Hong Kong, the only budget airline on this route, from November 22.
SpiceJet used to operate Delhi-Guangzhou and IndiGo had a direct on Delhi-Singapore routes till some years back. After that LCCs limited themselves to under or up to five hour long flights
Both IndiGo and SpiceJet had plans to start medium haul international flights on wide body aircraft. But given the spike in fuel prices and the falling rupee, Indian LCCs are going slow on inducting twin aisle planes. Till the cost climate improves, they will do so on their existing fleet single aisle planes.
