Spice to begin direct flights between Ahmedabad and Muscat from 29 August

SpiceJet, India's low cost airline will launch three weekly non-stop flight between Muscat and Ahmedabad from August 29.

SpiceJe has entered into a partnership with Oman based travel and tour operator, Khimji House of Travel (KHOT), officials said. 

The airline will operate three weekly flights on every Monday, Thursday and Friday from its base in Ahmedabad. 

The inaugural incoming flight from Ahmedabad will arrive on the 29th of August, it was announced here. The flight's evening departure from Ahmedabad will benefit the sizeable number of people that come into Oman from western India. 

Onward domestic destinations operating with a non-stop flight from Ahmedabad include Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Goa, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Mumbai and Pune. 

"The state of Gujarat is a fast growing State in India and Ahmedabad is the business capital. It is one of the fastest growing regions in India and is also one of the most industrialised," MC Jose, CEO, Projects & Logistics at Khimji Ramdas said. 

Cashio Vettom, Sr Divisional Manager, KHOT, said that the non-stop flight to Ahmedabad will be of great convenience not only to those travelling to that city but also to those going onward to the surrounding cities like Bhuj, Bhavnagar, Jamnagar, Surat, Vadodara, Mt Abu in Rajasthan.
