South African air-carrier SAA has deployed A330-200 aircraft replacing A340-200 to service its Johannesburg-Mumbai route.
The new aircraft is being operated on the sector from May 14, a company press release stated.
"The A330-200 aircraft is operating the Johannesburg- Mumbai route from May 14, much sooner than scheduled. Over and above providing connectivity to the east, our valued customers can look forward to an enhanced product and the added comfort and convenience offered by this impressive aircraft," company's General Manager Commercials Theunis Potgieter said.
As a gateway to the east, the Johannesburg-Mumbai route is crucial in strengthening the airline's eastern hub operations, effectively supporting this tourism and business market, he said.
