The Department of Tourism showcased a sound and light show at Taj Mahal to boost tourism in the region and promote the country's history and culture.
Director of Kalakriti Culture Convention, Ashok Jain, said, "When a tourist visits the state, he has some other point of view, but after watching this show, his view changes and he feels that he is taking along a message of love. One will not understand the history by merely visiting the Taj Mahal. However by performing the play practically, one understands the complete story. This play is presently being performed in ten languages and in future we will develop it in more languages."
The show featured the love story of Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan and his third queen Arjumand, known to the world by her title Mumtaz Mahal, with a replica of the Taj in the backdrop as per a report in Zee News.
Keeping the diversity of the audience in mind, the organisers of the show provided audio aids at every seat to enable foreign tourists to listen to the translated dialogues of the play in their respective languages.
