European leisure charter carrier Small Planet Airlines (SPA) further expands its sales force by entering the Benelux and France markets. This expansion will allow the airline to gain even stronger position in Western Europe.
Vytautas Kaikaris, CEO of Small Planet Airlines, commented: “We are continuously expanding our services to European markets. This year we started charter flights from United Kingdom and Ireland having signed initial three charter contracts for the winter season and one for upcoming summer. We have also received Air Operator Certificate in Italy and established bases in Milan Malpensa and Rome Fumicino airports. Now, we strongly believe that Belgium, Netherlands, Luxemburg and France are interesting markets with great potential for us. Having expanded our sales force in these countries we believe we will offer local tour operators same excellent level of service.”
Mark Wentzel, recently appointed as Vice President Sales for the Benelux of Small Planet Airlines, with extensive experience in the travel industry, adds: “We will work hard in order to earn the confidence of tour operators. Spreading its business geography, Small Planet Airlines also continues to expand its aircraft fleet. Currently, Small Planet Airlines fleet consists of six Boeing 737-300 and two Airbus 320 aircraft. Next year two Airbus A320 aircraft will be added to the existing fleet.
Small Planet Airlines is part of the Lithuanian aviation business group Avia Solutions Group. The airline provides full charter, ACMI and ad-hoc flights to tour operators, airlines, private and governmental companies. The airline operates a fleet of six Boeing 737-300 and two Airbus A320 type aircraft and performs flights from Lithuania, Estonia, Poland, Italy and the UK. Small Planet Airlines has acquired Air Operator Certificates (AOC) granted by four European countries (Lithuania, Estonia, Poland and Italy)
