Singapore Airlines, SilkAir offer special fares to Australia

Singapore Airlines and its low-cost subsidiary SilkAir today announced a special fare on the India-Australia sector, starting from Rs 49,000, for travel up to September 20. The all-inclusive fares are valid for a minimum of two persons travelling together, and are in association with Tourism Australia, a statement said.

"Singapore Airlines and SilkAir have been the preferred carriers for travellers on the India-Australia route as we offer excellent connectivity, with 84 weekly flights from India to Singapore and 92 weekly flights from Singapore to Australia," Singapore Airlines general manager for India G M Toh said.

The special promotional fare will be available for departures from ten Singapore Airlines and SilkAir gateway cities in the country -- Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Coimbatore, New Delhi, Hyderabad, Kochi, Kolkata, Mumbai and Thiruvananthapuram, while destinations in Australia are Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth, Sydney and Darwin.
