SilkAir and Changi Airport Group have announced special transit offers that will be jointly provided them to passengers travelling out of India on either of the two airlines and transiting to their destinations beyond Singapore.
Such passengers can claim one Changi Dollar Voucher (CDV) worth S$20, which are valid for one-time use at all retail, food and service outlets located at the transit and public areas of Changi Airport Terminals 1, 2 and 3, excluding outlets in the Arrival Baggage Claim Halls.
They can also be redeemed for one-time access to the Ambassador Transit Lounges in Terminals 2 and 3, for up to three hours. Lounge usage includes showers with basic toiletries, light refreshments, free flow of non-alcoholic beverages, local and international reading materials, as well as complimentary Wi-Fi.
To claim the CDV, transiting passengers must produce their e-ticket and arrival boarding pass at any Information Counters in the transit areas of Terminals 2 and 3. CDVs are valid for tickets issued in India until 31 March 2014, a press release from Singapore Airlines said.
Singapore Airlines (SQ) and SilkAir (MI) customers who choose to stopover in Singapore enroute to other SQ/MI destinations can avail of the Singapore Stopover Holiday (SSH) packages, starting from S$54 per person on twin-sharing basis for the first night.
SSH packages include hotel accommodation, 2-way hotel/airport transfers, unlimited rides on the SIA “Hop-on Hop-off” Bus and complimentary admission to 14 key tourist attractions.
The attractions include the Singapore Flyer, Jurong Bird Park, Singapore Zoo, Sentosa Island, one-way cable car ride to/from Sentosa Island, The Original Singapore Walks, HiPPO River Cruise, Maritime Experiential Museum and Aquarium, MINT Museum of Toys, National Orchid Garden, Singapore River Bumboat Tour, Chinatown Heritage Centre, The Battle Box at Fort Canning and Marina Bay Golf Course driving range.
The admission costs to all these attractions are valued at S$232 per person. SSH bookings can be made from now to 28 March 2013 and are valid for travel up to 31 March 2013, the release said.
Under the Boarding Pass Privileges (BPP) programme, Singapore Airlines and SilkAir customers can also enjoy a host of privileges and discounts on dining, shopping, lifestyle, transport and other activities in Singapore by simply presenting their Singapore Airlines or SilkAir boarding passes at participating stores, including selected outlets at Changi Airport.
Transiting passengers with over 5 hours of transit time can sign up for a free Singapore city tour, which can be pre-booked before departure from India.
The Heritage Tour provides passengers with a glimpse of a blend of East and West, tradition and modernity, and is a way to have a feel of the history, culture and lifestyle of multi-racial Singapore.
