Siddhanath hill at Borim in Goa to be developed as a tourist spot

The Goa industries minister, Mahadev Naik, said that the government has initiated steps to develop Siddhanath hill at Borim as a tourist spot and that funds have been earmarked for the purpose. Speaking at a function at Borim, Ponda, on Sunday, Naik said that the government has earmarked an amount of 2.88 crore for the expansion of the road from Top Cola to Siddhanath.

Stating that the development of the hill as a tourist spot was a long-pending demand, he said the government will undertake the construction work of a protection wall at a cost of 5.80 crore, the beautification of the road from Borim to the Baithakhol circle and underground cabling of electricity from Baithakhol to Vajangal.
