Shilpgram Utsav attracts Tourists to Khajuraho

The SCZCC Nagpur has organized a 9 day cultural celebration and they named it "Lok folk" which literally means "the art of people"

South Central Zone Cultural Centre (SCZCC) as they received an overwhelming response from Indian and foreign tourists for the ongoing cultural fest "Lok folk" at Khajuraho. The SCZCC Nagpur has organized a 9 day cultural celebration and they named it "Lok folk" which literally means "the art of people".

The Director of SCZCC,Nagpur, Mr Ravinder Singal stated "After experiencing the enthusiasm and the involvement of the foreign visitors at the "Lok folk", the tribal and folk dances festival at Shilpgram, Khajuraho and the appreciation and the way the visitors danced and interacted with the artisans and the artist, has really raised our expectations and hence we have decided that the next edition of "Lok folk", would be conducted for a longer duration at a bigger scale sometime in the beginning of February, 2014."

The show starts every day at 1 P.M. and so do the various stalls and shops for the visitors. Indian Handicraft is one of major attractions of the show where the India's famous craftsmen have reached with their valuable works. Nadeem, a woodworker from Hyderabad has displayed his wooden artifacts; Manoj from Delhi is present with his impressive Guajarati handicrafts in the fair. Abdul Hakim's Lac bangles and Gopal Bhaskar's elegant bridal jewelleries are the centre of attraction for women.
