Shah projects Kashmir's tourism potential in Pune

Director Tourism Kashmir Farooq Ahmad Shah on Tuesday said Jammu and Kashmir has emerged as a world class tourist destination. 

 Addressing a gathering on the concluding day of 5-day Kashmir Festival in Pune, Shah assured all possible facilities to the visitors during their stay in the Valley. 

Shah who was chief guest of the function, highlighted the present tourism scenario of Kashmir. “The Kashmir Valley is our own Switzerland and we are prepared to provide world class facilities to the tourists,” Shah said.

During an interaction Shah invited the audience including students and tour operators to visit Kashmir. “Pune is not only is the educational hub of Maharashtra but hosts thousands of student fraternity who come across the Country for studies in this historical city. I invited the students to visit Valley,” Shah said.

The Festival was organized by SARHAD and ARIHAAT Educational Trust. On the occasion, the student community of Pune requested Shah to provide them with special discounted packages on the pattern of Kerala.

Later Shah interacted with the media and travel-tour fraternity of Pune City.
