Sahay to urge CMs to develop Tourism in respective states

Union Minister expresses disappointment over state governments not doing enough for promoting tourism

Union Tourism Minister Subodh Kant Sahay has said he would write to chief ministers to prepare blueprints for development of the sector in their respective states.

"I will also request trade and industrial bodies in the states to help the governments in preparing such blueprints," Sahay said after laying foundation stone for Rs 50 crore mega-circuit project at Kabirvad, about 110 kms from Vadodara.

Expressing disappointment over state governments not doing enough for promoting tourism, the minister said the Centre was planning to strengthen cultural and historical diversity in the country by developing various religious circuits to attract large number of foreign tourists.
