Royal Caribbean International takes delivery of Allure of the Seas

The ship’s commercial operation for the inaugural season will commence on December 1, 2010 with a four night Western Caribbean sailing. This will be followed by alternate seven night sailings to the Eastern and Western Caribbean.

Royal Caribbean International recently took delivery of the new addition to the cruise line’s fleet, Allure of the Seas, from STX Europe in Turku, Finland.  Allure of the Seas shares the title of the world’s largest and most revolutionary cruise ship with sister-ship Oasis of the Seas.  Royal Caribbean International is represented throughout India by TIRUN Travel Marketing.

According to the company release, with a cache of distinct onboard activities and amenities, Allure of the Seas offers one-of-a-kind entertainment performances, culinary concepts, retail venues and technology innovations. An architectural marvel at sea, Allure of the Seas neighbourhoods are divided into seven distinct themed areas, which include Central Park, Boardwalk, the Royal Promenade, the Pool and Sports Zone, Vitality at Sea Spa and Fitness Centre, Entertainment Place and Youth Zone.  

Allure of the Seas  spans 16 decks, encompasses 225,282 gross registered tons, carries 6,318 guests in total, with 2,413 crew (from more than 71 countries) and features 2,700 staterooms. The ship’s commercial operation for the inaugural season will commence on December 1, 2010 with a four night Western Caribbean sailing. This will be followed by alternate seven night sailings to the Eastern and Western Caribbean.
