Rs 10 cr has been set aside in Rajasthan budget for restoration of Hotel Khasa Kothi and an interest-free Rs 15 cr would made available for financial empowerment of Rajasthan Tourism Corporation Ltd. Several religious tourism sites would have facilities developed at an estimated cost of Rs 11 crore.
Anticipating more investments in tourism sector, the 'Tourism Unit Policy-2007' has been extended till March 31, 2014. Besides, the financial year 2013-14 would see an expenditure of Rs 50 lakh incurred on 10 villages. Among the villages to be developed from tourism point of view are Thalasar in Churu, Gomukh and Bagheri in Sirohi, Anawara inAlwar, Gogamodi in Hanumangarh, GudaJohad in Sriganganagar, Narwaniya in Pali,Abhaneri in Dausa, GudaBishnoi in Jodhpur and Silora in Ajmer.
